Have you ever wondered what happens to the millions of discarded inner tubes after they’ve been punctured? While some are recycled, many still end up in landfills or are repurposed into various products, including jewelry and accessories.
My name is Laura Zabo, and for over 8 years, I have been transforming old inner tubes into unique fashion accessories.
When I started, tire upcycling was a novel concept, and many people were unfamiliar with it. Some were skeptical, and others even laughed. Despite the initial doubts, upcycling has gained traction, and tire accessories are now embraced by many, including celebrities and influencers who advocate for sustainability.
Throughout my journey, my passion for creating and my dedication to my customers have driven me forward. To date, I have repurposed over 20,000 inner tubes and bike tires. It’s inspiring to see how many people now prefer upcycled accessories over fast fashion.
Connecting with like-minded individuals through my art and jewelry has been incredibly fulfilling. Each piece I create reflects a part of my passion and establishes a unique bond between the creator and the wearer.
